Facebook Ads Targeting is the topic covered on this week’s episode of eCommerce Uncensored.

Kevin and Jason start off by discussing the email they received from Klaviyo recently updating them on the impressive new technology and features that is available on the platform.

The new technology includes predictability of when a consumer will purchase next along with other updates.

Jason talks about how it is not necessary to get to specific with telling Facebook who to target.

It is smarter to start off with a broader target and then let the Facebook algorithm narrow down who your audience is by itself. This allows you to keep it simple and not get overwhelmed.

After you have a broad audience, you can then create look-alike audiences or custom audience based on your results.

Kevin and Jason explain some of the tools in Audience Insights that shows you the amount of people you can potentially target.

Jason also mentions a hack that he learned that he has shared with our Facebook Group. Make sure you join to hear all about it.

In conclusion, don’t get too complicated with your targeting. Start of broad and let the Facebook Algorithm do the work for you. Once it starts collecting data for you, then you can use that to tighten the audience a bit.
