Meet the people of Steaming Rock: William Moyer is the black man that owns The Homestead saloon, and employs Bartholomew Wallace there. Father Brayton Carmody is the local preacher, Thomas Vaughn a landowner with a shady past. They are joined occasionally at the Homestead by two outsiders, a native American known as Eric, and Floyd Higgins, who turned his back on his wealthy family to live the life of an outdoorsman.

Its Higgins who becomes the centre of attention, when local bigwig Ellis Rocliffe comes looking for him...

Content warning: An NPC makes a racist comment. A young woman is in danger.
