I had such a blast with this episode! I truly wanted to be candid and open and talk to her as if we were talking to our girlfriends about this topic! As women we are brought up to have so much shame around our vaginas and everything "down there". Even pooping is seen as a negative thing from when we are little. Monika has such a beautiful welcoming, warm, engaging, and safe energy to discuss these topics with. I definitely laughed the most with this episode and I hope you do too!
Monika Eddings, PT, DPT, WCS is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Board Certified Women’s Health Specialist deeply committed to empowering individuals through education and dispelling myths surrounding pelvic floor issues. She specializes in nurturing pelvic health during pregnancy, birth preparation, and postpartum recovery. Start your transformative journey to better pelvic health at www.liftlaughkegel.com
Do you pee when you sneeze? Is this "normal" or "common"? How can you prevent prolapse from occurring later in life after having children?
You can take all the birth classes and have all the twinkle lights at your birth, but if you haven't prepared your pelvic floor to do it's job properly in birth, you may find yourself wishing you added a pelvic floor therapist to your preparation.
Do you need to strengthen it? Yes! Do you need to stretch it with yoga or movement? Yes! Do you need to be mindful of it with your breathwork? YES!
We discuss everything you need to know about pelvic floor health!
