During the time of Jesus ministry here on earth, some of the greatest opposition he faced came from the leaders of the religious establishment of his day. At one point, Jesus compared the Pharisees to “old wineskins” implying that they were too rigid to accept him. Jesus could not be contained in their religious traditions and rules. This new move of God that Jesus came to usher in would require new approaches, new traditions, and new structures. As pastors, we need to be careful that we don’t fall into the rut of thinking and acting like “old wineskins.” In this 4-part series of podcast episodes, Jon will unpack 4 observations about old wineskins and share insights on how we can think, live, and act as new wineskins, believing God for new strategies, mindsets, and tactics in a new season of ministry.
