It really just comes down to the partnership that you build with the person who is selling your business, making sure that that's extremely personal, and that you understand the ins and outs of what they're looking to gain out of that acquisition.”

Kira is a wealth of knowledge and innovation with a career to prove it. As an Investor and the Head of Partnerships at RX3 Growth Partners, a consumer-centric growth equity firm co-founded by Aaron Rodgers of the New York Jets, Kira oversees the company's value-add investment strategy across its deal and operating teams. Kira has both personally and professionally invested in numerous brands but focuses primarily on pairing the right consumer brands with the athletes, celebrities, and influencer talent that comprises RX3’s investor base. In today’s episode, we had the joy of sitting down with Kira Mackenzie Jackson to talk about partnership and fundraising. She shares with us her career journey and finding herself in PR as a pre-law undergraduate, the ins and outs of the acquisition process, the three categories you should always consider when building a partnership, and so much more!

We talk about:

  • Brand Partnerships + influencer marketing
  • Expanding through relationships
  • Celebrity brand deals
  • Knowing your worth
  • Top funnel marketing + building consumer brands
  • Private Equity
  • Innovative content generation
  • Angel investors + raising capital
  • The mechanics of the acquisition process
  • Mutual alignment + symbiotic collaboration
  • Persistence + consistency
