Really special guest this episode as Lee joins the podcast. A dashing smart friend of Swade who proves in this episode there is no rant too long they can't overcome. (00:02:36) Swade wants everyone to share their perfect posters for their house but Walter is incapable of using his imagination for it because he hates posters so much. There are still a lot of posters that Lee and Swade create that are really cool at least. (00:16:17) Walter brings Margarida Cordeiro and her husband António Reis's "Trás-os-Montes" to the podcast. This documentary combines fiction and historical tales into its documentary work which could be problematic too. We end up having a great discussion on the ways one can blend reality with fiction and how when modernity places a transcendent spiritual element on different isolated cultures, it can go very wrong. (00:30:57) Lee loves Kathryn Bigelow's "Point Break" so much, they decide to retell the whole plot in their own words with a passion that is unmatched by anyone on the podcast before. (01:02:41) Swade brings Netflix's new show "I'm Old Enough!" and he's very impressed by the toddlers in the show. He finds the show incredibly heartwarming because of the reality in the show (it's his favorite buzzword, what can you do...). Finally, everyone reflects a little about their childhood and why it feels different from the show. (01:19:01) Finally we end the conversation with a bit of puppet talk. Lee and Swade are incredibly talented!
