The latest foray into the world of Roald Dahl is with Warners Bros.’ magical musical prequel to “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971), titled “Wonka.” While the film was released in theaters in December 2023, February 2024 marks when the movie is available for digital purchase, so we are doing a deep dive! Producer KellieAnn hosts this episode with her fellow theatrical neighbor, Aimee Snow.

Together, they review, explore, and compare “Wonka” to previous books and film renditions. Does Timothée Chalamet live up to the Wonka legacy? Could the titular character be related to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter? And most importantly, what deeper messages of connection, motherhood, and imagination does this film highlight?
