Deepali Nangia was born and raised in India, went to University in the US, worked at Wall Street, on the growth equity side and in the corporate world. She launched an angel syndicate, started advising for equity and doing small personal angel checks. Sophia Bendz invited Deepali to participate in Atomico´s angel program and that´s when she REALLY got into the angel investing game. She co-founded Alma Angels - a community of angel investors (women and men) who are passionate about actively investing in and supporting ambitious female founders. Her angel investments include Planera, Vine Health, Bia.Care, Pension Bee (now public), ShellWorks and Vaayu, among others.
