In this episode Becky and Bryce explore how the sense of belonging in community is not permanent.
You will hear Bryce and Becky refer to and offer two categories from Martin Buber (I-Thou and I-It) as a framework to support this exploration into community.
They share how the balance of trust inside community is fluid and yet we need to be able to count on the balance to be there enough of the time. Community can be beautiful and incredibly messy. When the balance is exhausted, and we all have those experiences, then what??
Bryce and Becky speak frankly about how each of us has the capacity to choose what we really want in our relationships and that includes whether we keep them or not when trust has been damaged. There are no "have to's".
