Welcome back to the show everyone! This episode brings us to the end of Black History Month, so we thought we'd focus a little more on some People of Color creative artists (in front of and behind the camera) who are making impacts in the world of cinema and television right now.
What have we been watching? This week we found ourselves in full discussion on the power of 'BlackkKlansman' a Spike Lee joint, and how it affected us and the message it sends for today's society.
Trade Talk has us going in to some of the new exciting casting news (Bridgerton season 2 anyone?), show announcements (new Fraser and a Craig Robinson lead comedy), through to updates on Ray Fisher's stand against on set misbehavior and misconduct by people in positions of power.
The people spoke and we answered. We have more of the Shaopin Tsui episode for everyone. He gave us a great listener question, and we wanted everyone to hear it. It's a great discussion with points of view from two very different cultural environments.
Rachael takes her time to discuss a magnitude of films by Black directors, writers, actors and female filmmakers. What favourites strike a chord with her and ones that offer a powerful message for all viewers. Definitely one to stick around for!
It's a great episode to get involved with, don't be shy, please reach out to us on all major social media or email us to join the conversation!
