Doctor Who
First Impressions:
- Most sophisticated peice of tech in the universe and its vulnerable to magnets. Fucking magnets man
- Teasing us with the history of the time war. YOU DICK
- SHE READ HIS FKN NAME GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!11!!
- I like how the Doctor has kept Melody’s cradle and Amelia’s model of the TARDIS.
- “Never get into a spaceship with a madman. Haven’t you learned anything?”
- I kinda want to know more about the Time Wars.
- Bottled encyclopedias!
- You forget how complex time travel is sometimes, time raptures!
- They finally acknowledged the several variants of Oswin.
Problems:
- I’ll just turn off the shields. What could possibly go wrong when I’m teaching a total noob how to fly the TARDIS?
- “Journey”‘s overnight figure of 4.9 is the LOWEST number since 2005.
- Another crappy green screen when the TARDIS is getting craned in.
- Outrun a blast by indecisively jogging down a corridor and casually close a door.
- Magic tree that can spawn any mechanical device you want. That would have come in handy a few times already.
- Oh that’s why there are no time machines in the real world. It involves capturing a borderline supernova star.
- PHYSICS DO NOT WORK THAT WAY! GOODNIGHT!
Game of Thrones
First Impressions:
- Flaming frickin’ swords!
- Figured he would be a bit more mental about FIRE!
- Boobs! Wildling Boobs! “You know nothing, John Sno-Oh!”
- Redheads. Wilds in the sack, but crazy.
- Mmmm…Ygritte
- “No milk of the puppy!” “There will be pain.” “I’ll scream.” “Quite a bit of pain!” “I will scream loudly.”
- Olenna Tyrel once again owns the room, even against the Imp!
- Selyse Baratheon is super creepy, keeping the stillborns preserved in her room. Awesome!
- I loved the heart to heart between Jaime and Brienne, had a nice dramatic tone to it.
- Perfect shot of amazon boobs ruined by a healthy dose of king-slayer head.
- Agreed
- I love Tywin Lannister, I want to have manly Lannister babies with him. XD
- So the queen regent is stuck with him. HA! NTTAWWT
Problems:
- That fight at the beginning looks very DnD-ish. Flaming swords, Shield Bashing, Resurrection… come on!
- This was a filler episode if ever one existed. Only three more left.
- I’m starting to hate Rob Stark. Dude keeps making all the wrong decisions! Even that epiphany near the end didn’t help his case in this episode.
- Although I did enjoy his sense of poetic justice during his sentence of the Karstark men, the lookout was last to see the others die.
- Honour is for idiots and klingons
- Stannis Baratheon never had much charm, the only good thing about his storyline was Davos Seaworth and he’s been put in the sidelines… Goddamnit!
- Little Finger is making it obvious he wants to hook up with the Stark girl. This is not the case in the Martin fan-fic.
