This week I am being joined by someone who is a shining example of what it means to step into your own power. Today I am talking to Rupali Chandar, professor of Astrophysics at the University of Toledo and the current Associate Chair of the Department of Physics and Astronomy.

Rupali got her PHD from Johns Hopkins, and she also has a double major in Physics and Astronomy from Haverford College. Rupali loves her research that focuses on understanding the physics of galaxy formation and evolution, and she is even currently leading a team of international scientists studying the most ‘extreme’ star forming galaxies in the nearby university.

Rupali and I dive into why she chose the career she did, as well as the struggles she has had as a woman in a very male dominated field. Rupali shares what it has taken for her to find her own voice and to own the amazing gifts she has been given. We also talk a lot about how she has used her experiences to inspire her own children as well as many others to, “succeed on their own terms.”

Know that you can connect with Rupali via email at, rupalichandar@gmail.com.
