Gotham must fall in our Gotham Season 3 Episode 20 Review for "Pretty Hate Machine" as we discuss our Top Five moments of this Episode. Synopsis for Gotham Season 3 Episode 20 Review Pretty Hate Machine Podcast Directed by: Danny Cannon Written by: Steven Lilien and Bryan Wynbrandt The day of Judgement has come to Gotham and the Court of Owls as the Shaman (Raymond J. Barry) and Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) return to the ruling council and punish them for murdering Bruce’s parents. Despite being given the opportunity Bruce takes no action in their murders but agrees to never hesitate again. He isn’t waiting long for the next opportunity as Professor Hugo Strange (BD Wong) has a new weaponised version of the Alice Tetch virus which The Shaman wants to release in the city. However, the virus has already begun to spread in Gotham as it begins to take hold of Leslie Thompkins (Morena Baccarin) after she purposefully injected herself with the virus. She kidnaps Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and buries him alive: He is given two choices either take the virus to escape his tomb and save Gotham from the virus bomb or die six feet under. As Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue) and the GCPD hounds search frantically to save Jim; Alfred Pennyworth (Sean Pertwee), after his search for Bruce, finally catches up with him at the top of Wayne Enterprises. He is too late to prevent the brainwashed Bruce from detonating the virus bomb as the Shaan sensing that his plan is in danger presses Bruce’s hand to detonate the bomb, releasing the deadly virus on Gotham. However, Alfred manages to kill the Shaman for his part in this but with his dying words the Shaman instructs Bruce to locate the Yuyan Building where he’ll find "the Demon's Head" and his destiny.
