After numerous failed trips before the parole board, George Williams finally was released from Missouri State Prison in November of 2021. Originally serving a 25-year sentence for robbing a lounge in which his partner was killed by the police, Williams found himself getting 99 years for being wrongly accused of murdering a prison guard. His case set the precedent for the state re-instituting the death penalty. Hear some of what happened during his 50 years of incarceration as well as him finally being released on this episode of Growing Up On Death Row At 17.
