Prof Thomas N. Seyfried is an American professor of biology, genetics, and biochemistry at Boston College. He has been very vocal about the medical community's approach to researching and treating cancer, which he believes has been taken the wrong path of focusing too heavily on genetic mutations.

We ask why cancer seems to be so ubiquitous today, what exactly is driving this disease.

We hear Prof Seyfried's contention that cancer is not a consequence of genetic mutations but that it is in fact a mitochondrial metabolic disease.

Expect to learn about Dr Otto Warburg whose ideas about the origins of cancer 100 years ago are now being proved to be correct according to Prof Seyfried.

Discover where fermentation features in the cancer equation.

Find out what happens when you deprive tumour cells of glutamine and glucose.Learn why Prof Seyfried is so critical of the medical field's established focus on the downstream effects of genetic mutations, in respect of cancer.

We hear about the impact calorie restricted diets had on children with epilepsy and what this means for cancer patients and recovery.

Prof Seyfried tells us of the laundry list of negative effects of existing cancer treatments which he believes is simply not working for cancer patients.
