Venomous rattlesnakes can be hiding within Butte County’s rugged terrain. Though the odds of being bitten by one are fairly low, it’s still a possibility and a safety concern.
Nick Brandehoff, M.D., of Enloe’s Emergency Department, shares valuable information about how to stay safe from these slithery creatures and what to do if you get bitten.
Dr. Brandehoff will also share insight on his work with the Asclepius Snakebite Foundation, a nonprofit organization that focuses on treating snakebite patients around the world.
