9 Step Formula to Flourish in Your Leadership Career and Personally Transform (Part 2)

In this episode we will be looking at and taking a deeper dive into the first 3 steps to this formula… Be, See, Rest. These
are the first 3 steps that are critical to truly transform yourself to become a true leader, to be that person that people
look up to, that people depend on.
1:30… BE ? Attitude is first, skills are second. Authentic, genuine, integrity. Attitude is part of being a human BEing.
– Be true to your word. Integrity! Don’t cut corners and follow through.
– Be true to yourself. Share your true self with others. Intentionally share experiences and vulnerabilities and how
you go through it. Disclose things only in a way that is helpful.
– Sensible feedback. Accept sensible feedback. Don’t ask for feedback all the time or ask for it and do nothing with
it! Ask for specific feedback and then go do something with it. Then go back and report about it… follow-up!
– What is your brand or theme? Integrity. Creativity. Follow-through. Whatever it is, find it and go with it. Ask,
what would the name of the movie of my life be?
– Be more actionable, less theoretical. Don’t come off as condescending or as a know-it- all. Be actionable in
everything.
– Know your values. Take a retreat and figure them out if you need! Are your values consistent with your work
and individual life? This determines if people respect you.
– Awareness. Don’t be intimidating. Always be thinking… how do others feel?
– Embrace your whole self. Emotions. Perceptions. Perspectives. What are your beliefs on everything?
– Be a listener. Understand others and truly listen.
– Eye contact. This helps others’ heart rate to be lowered and so it makes them feel safe.
10:50… SEE ? Look Forward. Be visionary for yourself and your business or company. What is our vision? What is my
vision?
– Understand your big why and your buisness’ big why. You can’t always see the big results, but you can see
where you are going.
– Use your peripheral vision. Consider different variables. Don’t be so concrete.
– Look for the golden thread in yourself and your company. Speak out about your opinions, thoughts, insights.
– Legacy. What do you want to leave behind… for yourself and your business?
– Meet with yourself. Regularly. Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly. Evaluate. Plan. Correct yourself if you need.
– Understand the importance of social responsibility.
– Abundance Principle. Lift others! Don’t be selfish. Elevate others. See the big picture.
– See the best in others and express it. Look at their work and tell them! Look at all they are doing. Ask people
questions, then listen to their answers. Look up!
17:30… REST ? Default Mode Network (DMN) – can be activated when external stimuli are cut out.
– Mental conditioning/mindfulness – is 4x more restorative and helpful than sleep.
– Sleep – less than 6 hours a night is not good. Don’t expect to flourish and grow if you are getting less than this. It
is a must! 6, 7.5, 9 hours are the right intervals to hit.
– Activating the DMN through rest means more creativity, critical thinking, and productivity!
– Movement can be active rest. Use your movement time to rejuvenate.
– Schedule in vacations! Use all your vacation days! You and your family deserve it. Plan it out!
– Slow down! You don’t have to answer questions immediately. Take a moment before you answer or give your
message out.

9 Step Formula to Flourish in Your Leadership Career and Personally Transform (Part 2)
