It’s time to give it up for the legendary bay area gangster, Spice 1. We have to go all the way back to 1991 to start this conversation when Spice 1 dropped his first EP, Let It Be Known, featuring the underground bay area classic, 187 Proof. From that point on, Spice 1 set the bay on fire with classics like Spice 1, Amerikkka’s Nightmare, The Block Bossalini, Immortalized (almost entirely produced by the big homie, Rick Rock) and many more. Just take a look at the features on the 1994 album, Amerikkka’s Nightmare. We are talking E-40, Method Man, and 2pac. Yeah, Spice 1 is and has always been that guy.

On this episode, Mainetain and Domino also hit us with another banger, inspired by Spice 1, and we have some of our homies from Skylit Music drop some bangers! It’s a great episode, we hope you enjoy it.

All love.
