Part of changing your money and changing your life is figuring out the stories you tell yourself about money. These stories or beliefs can either help or hurt your finances. If they hurt it, transforming your money stories requires you to dig deep into your past, face your fears and work through any financial mistakes you've made - and that's what we're talking about this week. This topic was first brought up by Cait after she realized she'd been telling herself a lot of stories that were hurting her earning potential. As we get talking, however, she figures out she's been telling herself a lot of stories about buying things and spending money too. Carrie talks about combining her purpose and passion with making a lot of money. We close with some mantras we both needed to hear: spending money isn't bad and money isn't evil. Money allows you to spend, save and give, which are all good things! If our talk strikes a chord with you, check out the book, You Are a Badass at Making Money by Jen Sincero. Remember, it's not advice about HOW to make money but, instead, offers ideas, mantras and meditations that you can help you let go of some deep-rooted misconceptions you might have about making it.
