Story of David
1 Samuel 30
Ziklag was the base where David and his men operated out of. When they came back to Ziklag, they found the city was burned, all their stuff taken including their wives and children.
6 And David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because all the people were bitter in soul, each for his sons and daughters.
