Jesus is “a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief” (Isaiah 53:3). The experience of loss is unique to each person, and it’s not easy navigating the complexity of grief. Yet in our pain, God comforts us and walks with us. Jesus understands grief and gives us hope.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-4, 17 – But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep … and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words.

Hebrews 6:19 – “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.”

Revelation 21:4 – “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
