In this episode of the podcast, we speak to enthusiastic entrepreneur and outspoken community advocate, Melissa Baer. Melissa works within the regenerative/sustainable agriculture sector, devising technological solutions to issues of industry transparency and food security. On top of this, Melissa is a passionate proponent and advocate for the promotion of women's sports; specifically, women's contact sports. She has participated in rugby, soccer and Australian rules football, and is an active member of the Canterbury AFL/New Zealand AFL committees, notably acting as a voice for women's inclusion.
During this episode, we speak about methods for better promoting women's contact sport, as well as the intrinsic and extrinsic barriers to women participating in contact sports. We then talk about her role within regenerative agriculture, and the initiatives that she is attempting to devise in order to ameliorate modern agricultural issues of transparency and sustainability.
