Each episode will feature a movie from my childhood that might not be noteworthy in overall film history, but for some reason we have a connection to it that can’t always be explained. The era of my particular childhood is the peak of the VHS era, featuring those 80’s and 90’s films, that while most may consider unremarkable, are treasured works of art to me… and my idiot friends. We will task each guest with suggesting a movie that fits the criteria of not being seen in a very long time, gives them a faint memory of growing up in the 80’s and 90’s, and is not a veritable classic. We will then watch and discuss if the movie holds up as an unrequited gem or end up wondering what the hell was wrong with us when we were kids to think it was any good in the first place.
