Chris Mason has played an incredibly important role in the way I approach strength training personally. This week we talk about his experience with Westside Barbell, how he approaches helping athletes get stronger, and when and why this is an important piece of our fitness. Chris programmed strength and hypertrophy phases for me in the early part of the season in 2012 and 2013 helping me to add mass and increase my lifts on a smaller frame. The approach has helped shaped my programming and I continue to use it to this day.
