In this episode, I share how a cell service outage in my community made me think about how adversity can affect businesses of any size and how to cope with it effectively.

In This Episode, You’ll Learn:

  • What is adversity and how it can impact your life and business
  • How my mentor Michael Russ taught me a powerful method to eliminate or reduce the negative effects of adversity, called Zero Adversity
  • How the cell service outage affected my community and the businesses around me
  • How I used the situation as an opportunity to do things that I don’t normally do and improve my well-being, creativity, and productivity
  • How to develop a mindset that allows you to see adversity as a challenge rather than a threat, and how to overcome it or reduce its negative effects

What is Adversity?

Adversity is a state of hardship, difficulty, or misfortune that one faces in life. It can be caused by external or internal factors and have different impacts on different people.

How I Learned About Zero Adversity

My mentor Michael Russ is the author of a book called Zero Adversity, which teaches you how to change your perception of reality and create a new mindset that allows you to achieve your goals and dreams without being hindered by adversity. He also shares practical tools and strategies to deal with any challenges or obstacles that may arise along the way.

How Cell Service Outage Affected My Community

Recently, my community experienced a cell service outage that lasted for several days. This was a major inconvenience for many people who rely on their phones for communication, work, entertainment, and other purposes.

I decided to investigate how this outage affected the businesses around my area and how they coped with it. I was surprised to find out how dependent they were on the service provider and how much losses they incurred due to the lack of connectivity.

I realized how dependent we are on technology and how vulnerable we are when it fails. I also realized how adversity can cause chaos, helplessness, and lower quality of life for many people.

How I Made The Best Out Of The Situation

Instead of complaining or feeling frustrated about the cell service outage, I decided to make the best out of the situation and use it as an opportunity to do things that I don’t normally do.

For example, I filed all papers that are everywhere in the office and I wrote the topics that I wanted to discuss in my Podcast.

I found that doing these things helped me feel more relaxed, happy, and productive during this time. I also learned some valuable lessons about myself and life in general.
