As we age we experience a decrease in both muscle mass and muscle power, eventually leading to falls, loss of independence and more. Exercise is thought to be one way to make improvements, but only resistance training has been previously studied. This trial aims to understand if low frequency, high-intensity training (HIT) helps to improve muscle power in lifelong, sedentary, aging men.
