There’s a growing mental health crisis where the rates of anxiety and depression are skyrocketing among adults & teenagers, and children.

Attempted suicide rates are up, people are increasingly struggling with panic attacks, teens are isolating behind their phones and in their rooms, and parents are struggling with how to help their kids and support their own mental health.

This is why we’ve started the La Plata Family Podcast.

This podcast is a place where individuals, moms, dads, & caregivers can get strategies to support themselves and their children.

I’m your host, Hillary Wolfe, the owner of La Plata Family Therapy in Durango, CO. I’m a licensed clinical social worker, a registered play therapist supervisor, and the mother of two young children.

I understand how difficult it is to stay mentally healthy during these times.

This podcast is going to explore all aspects of mental health. We’ll have mental health experts from La Plata Family Therapy, and those from the broader community, share their insights on what children, teenagers, and individuals are struggling with today, and tips on how to best navigate those challenges.

It’s important for our listeners to know that the topics discussed on this podcast should be considered a matter of personal opinion. They do not reflect professional advice. If you or your child is in need of mental health counseling support, please search out a licensed counselor.

So, if this sounds interesting to you, please subscribe to the podcast, share it with a friend, and we’ll see you in the next episode where I’ll be discussing with Angeal Howell, a child occupational therapist, on “How to know if your child has sensory processing issues.

Don’t forget to subscribe, and I’ll see you in the next episode.
