Legends has reached that fateful number - Six Hundred Sixty-Six - and we’re celebrating with an appropriately devilish movie. After his wife delivers a stillborn baby, an American diplomat adopts an orphan. Then, a series of mysterious circumstances lead him to suspect the boy may be the Antichrist. Starting Gregory Peck, Lee Remick, David Warner, Billie Whitelaw, and Harvey Stephens as Damien, directed by Richard Donner, the 1976 film was a box office hit that spawned multiple sequels and a TV series. More recently, a direct remake of the first film was released in 2006 and a TV series, Damien, aired in 2016. We’re going back to the film that started it all, as it was foretold. But does The Omen give the Devil his due, or has it gone to the dogs?
