We had a blast going live on Facebook last night and also being there live at the Thornton Cabala's! We'll be at the Thornton Cabela's broadcasting live every Thursday at 7 make sure to head down as we'll be giving away prizes each and every week.

We want to thank Cabela's and the Patriot Anglers for all their support! Both Cabela's and the Patriot Anglers have some really exciting events coming on to celebrate memorial day. Cabela's will have it's Hometown Hero's sale granting an extra 10 percent off to Military, Vets, Law Enforcement, Fire Fighters, EMT's, etc! More information regarding the sale by clicking here.

Celebrate Memorial Day at Camp Hale with the Patriot Anglers.

This Memorial Day join Patriot Anglers to honor our nation’s service members at Camp Hale, which is the former training center of the 10th Mountain Division, the only unit in the history of the U.S. Army to be organized specifically for mountain and winter warfare. Make this either a two day trip or just come up on Memorial Day. On Sunday the 29th we will be fishing Turquoise Lake and Forebay and then camping out at the Camp Hale National Camp Ground. On Monday the 30th we will tour the Camp Hale National Historic Site, have a BBQ lunch with VIPs that will be there include Senator Bennett, VFW, and the 10th Mountain Division Foundation. After lunch we will be fly fishing and spin cast fishing with veterans at the Camp Hale pond. Find more info at www.patriotanglers.us Some more exciting news from the Patriot Anglers! I'm really excited about these tournaments and will be participating myself! BETA Test To fund their mission, the Patriot Anglers is continuing to develop the Tip to Tail Tournament series with partners Hookwars. The Tip to Tail Tournaments are a online statewide public waters application driven concept. The Application currently being developed by Hook Wars will be available in June for testing before we conduct official tournaments in the summer and fall with the possibility of an ice tournament this winter. The tournament application (app) will be available for download on Itunes and Google play in June. The app is going to feature a leader-board and fish photo submission using dating and geotagging features for accuracy. This season's application will require a photo using a measuring device (bump board) with any fish being entered. We are working towards having the app measure the fish submissions in 2017 to help increase catch photograph and release practices. We will need assistance testing the application in June before we hold the first official tournament. To test the app we are going to hold a BETA test contest ‘Pro’s Tournament’ from June 1st to June 30th. We will release a link to those interested in helping a few days befoe the first. The tournament will be a $25 buy in with 25% going back to winnings. 20% goes to the overall winner, and 5% to the biggest fish caught. The other 75% of entry fees will go to help fund future Tip to Tail Tournaments. The tournament allows fishing only in public waters for largemouth bass. The bass submitted will be scored by length using a standard measuring device by total inches of the fish. An unlimited amount of fish can be submitted with the top five in length counting for score at the end of the tournament. Please RSVP on our website at http://www.patriotanglers.us/tiptotail/

We also talked about the upcoming Colorado Kayak Fishing Club's tournaments at Chatfield reservoir this weekend! There's a multi-species events on Saturday and then a bass only event on Sunday. For more information on the CKFC click here.

Rocky Mountain Adventure Guides owner Neal Wilkinson has been reporting extremely hot fishing at Pueblo reservoir lately! Here's he latest update:

Fishing is really starting to pick up at Pueblo Reservoir. I just competed in the Colorado Walleye Association tournament at Pueblo this last weekend. In four days we caught and released 130 walleye and dozens of bass (spotted, small mouth and large mouth). With water temps still only around 60 degree's the best fishing is still to come!!

There are two patterns going on right now. The first is a deeper live bait bite in 22-36 feet of water. The other is a very shallow bite in the flooded brush and timber where we are catching bigger walleye and lots of nice bass! These fish are responding to soft plastics cast shallow, which is a lot of fun.So our clients can literally choose which they prefer.

To join in on the hot bite and learn the techniques to consistently catch fish on Pueblo book a trip with Rocky Mountain Adventure Guides! You can reach out through their Facebook page, contact Neal directly via FB, or call them! Click here for the link to their website.

During the show we also referenced the CPW's Fish Atlas check it out here. It's a great tool to help you find fish of all species all over the state! A great reference for finding new spots and doing some homework before hand is this article by Jason Duong!

We also want to thank the guys that showed up to see the podcast live! One of the anglers in attendance was Kenny Hood! Kenny is one of the best kayak anglers in the state and finished 23rd in the KBF nationals last year at Kentucky Lake! Check out Kenny's Facebook Page and also his Instagram!

As always we want to thank all of our audience! The folks on Facebook, people inside Cabela's, those that listen on www.lfkpodcast.com and also iTunes! You guys make doing this podcast a ton of fun and we really appreciate it!
