Episode 2 - Get Over The Guilt!

This week our hosts @honestlyHannah and @justJenSAV dive into the topic of how to manage guilt as you start divorcing things in your life that don’t bring you joy! The conversation is expanded during our first “Ask Our Man” segment where we learn about a lithium crazed ex and how we should all look at our life in 5 - 10 year increments, all while confirming that there’s still lots of time to be “Better Than You’ve Ever Been Before!” Finally, as they plan for their next girls trip, Hannah and Jen talk about the value of female friendships and making quality time together.
Want more details? Here’s what @honestlyHannah and @JustJenSAV cover in Episode 2:

  • @JustJenSAV, having been raised Catholic and even calling her mom, “The Pope” growing up, shares the burden of guilt she experienced after her first divorce - still blaming Oprah for telling us we can have it all!
  • Both hosts were divorced in the state of Georgia and raved about the benefits of living in a state that follows a no-fault divorce policy.
  • @honestlyHannah’s “big ole bag of crazy” lessened by having her parents’ support during her first divorce, encouraging her to see that moment as a potential window of opportunity to get to something even better.
  • Our hosts walk through the “Bridge” Exercise - with the challenge you are facing waiting on the opposite side of the bridge. After several attempts, @honestlyHannah finally saw her challenge on the other side of the bridge, and what she saw horrified her!
  • The first “Ask Our Man” segment happens! Our hosts interviewed a divorced parent who talked about his crazy ex (and aren’t all exes crazy?), and how he felt guilty about breaking up the family he wanted to create. Our man talks about how life seems to be short but it really is a journey and should be thought of in five to ten year increments so you can realize there is still plenty of time to make your life better!
  • As they plan for their next girls trip, @honestlyHannah and @JustJenSAV share how important time with girlfriends is for all women!
  • @JustJenSAV talks about how she almost got blackballed from a cooking club because she was recently divorced and how this club, now almost 20 years later, has now become such a great source of strength and support.
