Life Matters is a ground-breaking new podcast where people with real experiences talk candidly about how suicide has affected them, where we get the very latest on innovative suicide prevention initiatives being developed around the world, investigate special projects - and hear from people who are creating some fun ways to help people to open up.

In this 8th edition of Life Matters, Helen Garlick and reporter/producer Ashley Byrne hear from the 3 Dads Walking – Mike Palmer, Tim Owen and Andy Airey who began their mammoth walking and fundraising campaign across the UK after the death of their daughters. Folk band The Young Uns join the show to talk about the song they penned in honour of The Three Dads Walking. In the personal journey interview, broadcaster and journalist Mike McCarthy opens up to Helen, Coronation Street actor Vicky Myers explains why she’s become an ambassador for the Zero Suicide Alliance. Finally, reporter Wayne Wright meets The Bearded Fishermen to hear about how they’ve launched a helpline and various other initiatives for the vulnerable in Lincolnshire.
