Andrew C. MacDonald is a strategic consultant to small businesses, a seasoned real estate investor, and a mortgage planner who is obsessed with helping people create more wealth. This website serves as venue where Andrew shares thoughts, ideas and tips to help others create more wealth and live better lives. Andrew’s favourite topics to write about are wealth creation, real estate investing and business, but he occasionally covers ideas relating to fitness, nutrition, or life in general.

Past

Born and raised in the Toronto area, Andrew was fortunate to enjoy a fun filled childhood in a loving home.

From an early age, Andrew had a keen interest for business, technology, and the outdoors – interests which are still alive and well today.

In Andrew’s final year of high school, he decided to pursue his business interests and earned an Honours BBA (Bachelors of Business Administration) degree with a concentration in Finance from Wilfrid Laurier University’s School of Business and Economics. This comprehensive undergraduate program covered all of the functional areas of business and gave Andrew a solid understanding of accounting, economics, finance, human resources, marketing, operations, and strategy.

Entrepreneurship had always been of interest to Andrew, even before he was familiar with the term. Beginning in a grassroots manner by setting up lemonade stands, organizing garage sales, cutting lawns, and painting to make a few extra dollars as a kid, Andrew has been actively involved with several entrepreneurial ventures ever since. As a teenager, he delivered newspapers, started a small web design and development company, and later started a business retailing after-market automotive parts. More recently Andrew has been involved in residential mortgage lending, launched various websites, and founded a real estate investment company.

During his college years, Andrew began a journey of personal development. Wanting to make the most of his talents and abilities to create a great life for himself and his family, he began reading voraciously. Following several book recommendations of a successful mentor, Andrew learned a great deal on the philosophy of success and realized several opportunities to help others create more wealth.

Present

After graduating and working for a year in commercial real estate, followed by 4 years as a financial analyst in the banking industry, Andrew decided to refocus his time and energy on helping others create wealth.

Andrew’s top strengths are that he is analytical, future-focused, and a strategic thinker. Business strategy consulting, real estate investing, and mortgage planning are perfect outlets for these strengths and have become the vehicles Andrew uses to create the most value he can in the world.

Aside from my work, Andrew completed his first marathon in 2008 and now uses squash and beach volleyball as fun ways to stay in shape.

Future

Over the years Andrew’s definition of wealth has evolved from a heavy focus on financial wealth to a more holistic definition of living a well-balanced and enjoyable life. Andrew’s primary goal is to put his talents to work to help himself and others create more wealth through a combination of strategy consulting, mortgage planning, and real estate investing. Andrew’s vision is to help others achieve greater freedom and efficiency in their businesses, live with greater balance, and have more financial abundance in their lives.
