‘Living with Ovarian Cancer Podcast’ is full of inspiring stories told by people who are living with or have a connection with Ovarian Cancer.

Each person’s story is a gift; unique and is told from the heart in their own words. I am your host, Diane Evans-Wood. Please subscribe to the Podcast and leave a 5* review so that the show becomes much more visible to listeners.

In this episode I talk to Jane Waygood who lives up in beautiful Scotland. She shares her story with Ovarian Cancer and the struggle to get a definitive diagnosis. Jane is a very proactive lady who used the internet in a positive way to learn more about her disease and what was available to help her. Jane underwent surgery followed by conventional treatment with chemotherapy and she shared a funny story about her wig on Mother’s Day! We spoke about how Jane coped with the diagnosis of Ovarian Cancer and how her can-do attitude to life helped her through. She prefers to know the truth of what is happening as that helps her to understand and cope with what she is facing. Further on in her disease Jane sought less conventional treatment when she started to follow Jane McLellands regime. Then more recently, Jane developed Cancer on her Lip and underwent significant treatment which she also tells me about. Jane is such an open and honest lady, sharing very difficult moments and how she coped. She really is such an inspirational lady.

Jane spoke about Integrative Medicine which you can find out more about via this link: https://yestolife.org.uk

We spoke about the use of repurposed drugs and Care Oncology Clinic which is available worldwide: https://careoncologyclinic.com

The content of each episode and the views expressed are not meant to be a substitute for medical advice or intervention. You will hear stories of women who sought alternative therapies, integrated oncology services or even choosing to decline treatment options. However, this is their story, and I am not advocating that you follow the path of any one woman who features in the podcast. If you have a diagnosis of Ovarian Cancer, please make sure that you discuss anything that is going to affect your treatment or wellbeing with your own Medical team. You are unique and so what’s right for one woman may not be right for you!
