Patience isn't exactly my forte. It's currently my biggest hurdle. You see, I'm navigating life with a broken right shoulder and an injured left thumb, which has left me feeling quite handicapped in the realm of everyday tasks.

But amidst the challenges, I've come to realize that sometimes the topics we revisit are the ones we need to explore the most. Often, what we share with others serves as a healing balm for ourselves. It's a beautiful cycle of self-discovery and connection.

Reflecting on my impatience, I traced its roots back to my childhood. The echoes of "hurry up" from my parents still resonate in my mind. "Take your time" wasn't a phrase that found a place in our family lexicon. Consequently, I grew up believing that speed equated to efficiency and intelligence.

Yet, recent events have forced me to confront the flip side of my haste. From brushing my teeth with my non-dominant hand to struggling with everyday tasks, I've been thrust into a world of slow, deliberate movements. And it's been a humbling journey.

In this forced deceleration, I've unearthed memories of a carefree little girl who knew nothing of deadlines and schedules. A child who found joy in the simple act of creation, unhindered by the constraints of time. It's a gentle reminder to reconnect with that inner innocence, to reclaim the art of unhurried living.

But amidst the frustrations, there's a silver lining—a newfound appreciation for the gift of time. This hiatus from my usual whirlwind existence has imparted invaluable lessons in patience and presence. Lessons that extend far beyond the confines of my physical recovery.

As I tread this path of self-discovery, I find solace in the knowledge that every setback is a stepping stone to growth. Whether it's nurturing patience with my children, fostering resilience in my endeavors, or practicing empathy with my aging parents, each challenge is an opportunity for transformation.
