What does it take to work at the highest level in sport, for years?
Phil Nevile has been a footballer at Manchester United and then Captain of Everton. He’s been Head Coach for the Lionesses and he’s currently Head Coach at Inter Miami. You could say he’s part of a modern-day sporting dynasty, with brother Gary, sister Tracey and his late father Neville, all working in professional sport.
In Phil’s word, he went from being a “soldier” at Manchester United to “the general” at Everton, he had to adapt quickly to being made captain so early, so, what are the lessons that he’s learned about leadership, through sport?
