frivolous: 人やものが「軽薄な、うわついている、滑稽な」状態で、重要性に欠けること。silly よりはもう少し堅苦しい言い方になりますが、同等の意味合いとして捉えて良い言葉です。両方の言葉とも必ずしもネガティブなニュアンスとは限らないところが共通しています。
