The story of the Golden Egg varies across cultures and versions. In general, it tells the story of a poor farmer who owns a goose that lays a golden egg every day. Over time, the farmer becomes greedy and impatient, wanting to get all the golden eggs at once. He decides to kill the goose. Hoping to retrieve all the eggs at once, but he finds that the goose has no golden eggs inside her.
The moral lesson of the story is that greed and impatience can lead to a loss of wealth and happiness. It is important to be content with what you have and not to take for granted the blessings that come your way. There is also an underlying lesson about Product compared to Production Capability. The world and people and general focus on the Egg or the product. Focusing on the Goose alone will also lead to mis-management of the eggs.
