In this episode we are delighted to introduce Amy Wang, the CFO of a software solutions company and a Chinese immigrant who arrived in Canada at a young age. Her life journey reflects the intricacies of cultural assimilation and identity, offering valuable insights into the challenges of straddling Western and Eastern norms. Amy and her husband, who live in Calgary, contribute a unique perspective to our conversation by sharing their experiences in raising their biracial daughter.

Our show is committed to creating a safe space for people of color to openly process the impact of navigating between cultural worlds. We aim to acknowledge experiences without making anyone feel uncomfortable or guilty. Many individuals of color often lack the opportunity to share or process how these cultural gaps affect them, and Amy's narrative, as a Chinese immigrant, promises to provide a fresh and valuable perspective. Our hope is that this episode contributes to fostering meaningful discussions about growing up in Western-dominated societies as people of color, emphasizing the importance of open communication and understanding. Join us as we explore Amy's remarkable journey and learn from her experiences.
