Dr. Jack Gilbert, Faculty Director, The Microbiome Center Professor, Department of Surgery, The University of Chicago, Senior Scientist (Adjunct), the Marine Biological Laboratory, Group Leader in Microbial Ecology, Argonne National Laboratory met with us over the phone to discuss his work in the microbiome for built environments. Jack has far flung interests and this far reaching discussion was, if nothing else, a trip worth taking.
