On this week's episode of Millennials and Money our guest, Liberty Mutual Insurance Agent Colby Bell Share his Money Story. Colby began his working years selling shoes something he is still passionate about today and he credits much of his success in the insurance business to the things he learned in retail selling shoes and serving customers. Colby talks about how he went from earning $1500 a month in retail to sometimes earning as much as $15,000 a month in used car sales and how he had to learn to deal with the ebbs and flows of income that come along with a high demand sales career. Colby also shares his journey to homeownership and how the responsibilities that come along with being a homeowner combined with the accountability his wife holds him to have helped him make wise decisions with his money and to see it as a tool to help him achieve goals. Colby also shares how he has got connected with The Sacramento Realtist an organization dedicated to bringing Home Ownership, Democracy, and Fair Housing to African American families and communities, and how being a part of an organization like the Realtist has helped him find real purpose in life. Enjoy the show.
