In this episode we tackle the ever-so-touchy and highly controversial topic of discipline. Discipline is a topic that many moms don't feel they can be candid about for fear of judgement, but there is NO mom shaming here. We discussed our current discipline methods, how they affect us and our children and how much our parents' discipline methods influenced how we interact with our children. We hope you all listen with an open mind and share your experiences as well.
Notes:

  • Discuss whether gentle parenting and permissive parenting are the same
  • The impact vs. intent to the child
  • The importance of being mindful and self aware before fully engaging in discipline
  • Reflecting on our upbringing and how it affect the discipline methods for our children
  • Healing our inner child to become a better parent
