Welcome to the second of our two horror-themed episodes for Halloween (it's November now, but shhhhhh)! It's weird to have found two kaiju films both centered around the existence of a poor and disorganized government, but I am glad Shin Godzilla and The Host are those two films. Also, weird this is the second podcast episode I have done about a film called The Host. There are only minor spoilers for each film, the most being shared is me describing in near detail the first 10 minutes or so of The Host without much detail The hot take for this episode is about an beloved cult-anime film directed by two of the most talented sisters in the film industry as well, please enjoy this episode!
