Breast Implant Illness (BII) is something that has become a reality for myself and many other women across the world. Today, Patient Advocate Candice Barley joins the show for part 1 of our 2 part series on BII. We discuss our decision to get implants, the symptoms and diagnosis of Breast Implant Illness, as well as our decisions to explant. In 2018 Candice became extremely ill and was diagnosed with an unexplained liver disease. With full body tremors and a failing liver, Candice was bedridden and desperate for relief. She made the decision to remove her implants… a decision that changed her life. In just 8 weeks her liver disease and symptoms had both improved drastically. Now fully recovered, Candice has dedicated her life to advocating for women suffering from Breast Implant Illness. This episode is raw, informative, and could serve as a sign of hope for women that are currently suffering. You are not alone.
