For the past 21.5 years, Lt. Paramedic Jimmy Berry has enjoyed working in the busiest companies. His longest and most enjoyable stint has been with Truck 30, Orange County, FL Fire Rescue. When Jimmy reports to the firehouse each tour, the questions of "What adventure are we going to have today" tends to be their theme. Going to fires is the norm, but the truck also has rescue support work that is performed at America's most prestigious theme parks. "America's Truck" is a good place to work and Jimmy appreciates the sense of family in the firehouse. He is passionate about family; his own as well as those that he rides with each tour. His infectious smile would lead you to believe the job has always been good to him but in fact, there was a time where he wanted to walk away. The job can get heavy and it takes its' toll on our people. Jimmy was not exempt from this aspect of the job he grew to love. Overcoming this difficult time, Jimmy has grown to love the job and what it has to offer. Learning how to deal with the emotional stress of the job has become a big part of how he navigates the firehouse today. Enjoy what you have and what you do. If you cross paths with Jimmy Berry, you will be better for it!!
