#44 - "Evolve and Empower: Lessons for Leaders Crossing the Million-Dollar Mark"
Manage episode 396325727 series 3481763
Welcome to another episode of the Natural Born Leader Podcast! Today, I'm sharing a quick lesson for my fellow leaders out there. When you're starting, it's all about personal evolution. But once you've crossed the hundred-grand mark, the game changes. It's not just about your growth anymore – it's about evolving your team and attracting talent from the outside.
Beyond client and scale acquisition, it's about sourcing and empowering the right people. I've learned firsthand that, as capable as I am, I can't generate millions solo. So, here's the lesson for 2024: if you're making over a million a year, focus on finding execution specialists. Stay a generalist as a CEO, but surround yourself with efficient, talented individuals.
Overcome the fear of investing in talent. If someone isn't fulfilling their role, let them go. It's not just hurting you, but them too. Avoid overstepping and overshadowing your team. A successful company isn't built solely on your ideas and execution. Let your team shine, and those who can't, well, it's time to say goodbye.
Keep evolving, keep leading. That's it for today. Bye-bye.
