The Former and Latter Rain
God wants us to ask for the rain.

When someone becomes a Christian they need to be in fellowship the need to be in prayer they need to be in The Word, they need the Holy Spirit to come to help them to grow.
There are times when we really want God to send His Holy Spirit. Now is one of those times.

God wants to send the Holy Ghost to reign over us. Rain causes refreshment it causes things to grow and brings fruit. They will know we are Christians by our Love we want to show love for one another, for our intense love for God.
Everyone goes through a dry season. If you are in that season of drought, God wants to send you the latter rain. God wants to send revival. We need showers of blessing and anointed prayer, worship and preaching.
Zechariah 10:1
Ask the LORD for rain
In the time of the latter rain.
The LORD will make flashing clouds;
He will give them showers of rain,
Grass in the field for everyone.
It takes more than a sinner’s prayer to see God grow in you. If you have said a sinners prayer and then; never go to church, never spent time praying, or never read God’s Word, that “Sinners prayer” was about as meaningful as reading a menu at McDonald’s. You have no fruit of salvation. Salvation is when you make a choice in your heart to serve God. The Sinners Prayer is just the alter you come to when you make that choice. The prayer itself does not save you it is the heart attitude and because of that you confess with your mouth what is in your heart. It is what you really believe.
Romans 10:9 – 10 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Believing in Jesus takes action. Just like when you are born when you are Born Again you need to do the things which nourish you and cause you to grow or you will die.
Leviticus 26:4 Then I will give you rain in its season, the land shall yield its produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.
Some trees take a while to produce fruit some produce it all year round with the proper nutrition and water (rain) trees will bear much fruit. We need to give God the opportunity to speak to us and when He does listen so we can bear that fruit.
Pray for rain. God will send the rain.
