There are many challenges when it comes to parenting but one thing that makes it easier is understanding your child's emotions and even more, helping them understand them! Sometimes feelings can feel bigger, when you're smaller. What may seem unimportant to an adult can feel monumental for a child. Let's help you, help them... help you! Haha.

About our Guest

Julie Duong (yeung) is a native Houstonian who is passionate about the intersection of education, mental health, and equity. She is currently a licensed professional counselor at Nick Finnegan Counseling Center who works with adults and adolescents. Before becoming a mental health professional, she started her career in education, teaching middle school English. She continues her work in schools now by facilitating student groups and also talking to teachers and parents about emotional regulation in the classroom and at home.
