Welcome to the latest episode of the Nonprofit Connect podcast, brought to you by Rogue Creatives, made to connect with and learn from people in the nonprofit hemisphere. I’m your host, Matt Barnes, and you’re going to want to stick around for this one, folks.

Our guest today is Ryan Sawtelle, Executive Director of the White Heart Foundation, a nonprofit organization that is committed to serving the needs of our post 9/11 injured warriors by providing them with life enhancing equipment and services. He is also the Executive Director of the Butch Walker Foundation and has been an actor for the last twenty years! Ryan’s awards and honors include 2017 Citizen of the Year, issued by the Malibu Times, and being named in Pepperdine University’s ’40 under 40 Alumni’ in 2016

So sit back, relax, and listen to us cover such topics as:
  • How White Heart shifted their focus into more physical and mental health for veterans
  • How important education and awareness is for White Heart’s mission
  • Why changes aren’t happening for veterans
  • The challenges nonprofits face to get marketing funding
