Brian and I chat about his career as a songwriter and producer that includes 30 years of hit making for artists ranging from Martha Wash and Lala Hathaway to Drake and Khalid, and of course his number one hits for 90’s R&B trio SWV. We also chat about his childhood growing up in Kansas, his vocal stance on today’s social justice issues, his perseverance in the face of many challenges during his career, and his faith in his self and his talents. It’s a wide ranging and dynamic conversation between friends and two black men committed to excellence and integrity.
