David has started a 12-week challenge to get back in shape. He is on the search of his time trial spirit and travels back in time to find it and bring it back to 2022. On May the 14th 2022, he will pursue a 20 minute time trial to demonstrate what can be done if you train and prepare probably. On the journey, he gets advice from experts from pro cycling, tech, health care, nutrition, psychology, bike design, aerodynamics to get an update on what has changed since his last time trial in 2014.

Mikkel and David meet every week to talk about the progress and invite an expert to give us insights on what the latest knowledge and tech is to beat your best.

We are in the first week of the time traveller challenge. David and Mikkel discuss the why and what of the CHPT3 Time Traveller project. It began as a personal challenge David had given himself to get fit, it's escalated into something a bit bigger. We've decided to share the journey and encourage all of you to join. This is the first in a special series of OFF BIKE podcasts that will serve as an extra content stream to give you updates, news and interviews with industry leaders.

Then we go and meet Davids’s coach Marti Castello who puts David’s fitness to the test. We talk about how to set your baseline for your time travel challenge. It turns out that it is all about power and that David is actually not that unfit….
